3D Studio Max 8

Well its out, just got it and it has some very handy new tools. I can now add real tank tracks to the Cromwell, which i'll be doing once i've finished the Typhoon model.

You can do real hair, add real clothing and much more. This will be handy for my next human based model, might aswell go high poly on it.

Also, there is a sunlight on this max. I have no idea if this was in the last versions but i've only just found it lol. Anyway, heres a render of the old tank without the new treads.

Still working on the Typhoon model, as im new to planes its a pretty tough model to pull off.

Ploys at 4k with no clean up, if even needed etc. I have to attach tail wings, and smooth out areas. Then i'll skin it once I get my hands on a graphics tablet :P

Typhoon Model WIP

Well its 6am and im posting work, nothing new there then. Im really tired so its not done for once, and there are alot of areas that need to be sorted and finished. For example, the tail has to be attached to the body once I wake up.

German Flamethrower Model

Well thats one down on my list, im really not happy with this and might add more later on.

I had one f'ing image to work on this, and a black and white drawing too. Although the model and weapon type is simple, I had no view from the of the back. All I had was a simple view of the tanks and pipe area.

Anyway, here it is.

HMS King George V 1939 Model

Well another first, my first go at a ship model. I think its turned out ok up to now, theres some things I want to change and add though.

The front (control area) needs re-doing as I didn't have any clear pictures of it at all, then I need to add some detail all over. Boxs and other things are doing to be about the ship.

Cromwell Model

My first ever go at a tank and I think it turned out pretty well, I might add some more detail in but most of it could be skinned on.

Now to post it over at the Motor Pool :P

Gota fix some polys that are in the tank in some places as you can tell, but there only small things to sort out. And the fact the track at the back isn't covered it also fixed, I did it after the render :P takes a bloody age to re-render for a small fix.

Infantry Anti Tank Weapons

Ok so here they are all together, all my Infantry anti tank weapons i've been posting over at wwiiol's barrack forum.

Im pretty happy with them, the PIAT and Bazooka we're done in one night :P.

Polycount is around 2k but I can get it alot lower if need be.

After speaking to Bable about my modeling he put the idea forward for me to weapon model for this mod, so I emailed and asked about it. Good news is I got a application test where I have to model one of there concept weapons. I won't say or show which as I don't want to do the wrong thing, I will post pics once I know im ok too.


In other news, the pictures from Rachs dads wedding came in. And I look like a total and utter thug! lol. You can really tell I've boxed most of my life when you see these pics, image below.

Sten Model And Info

Well a new day and a new model by myself, wanted to do something quick and small so went for the Brit SMG The Sten. Poly count is around 4k but can be alot lower if I wanted to change it, and I will skin it soon as I get time.

Now as for the info, Im starting back up within boxing at a amauter level and then I hope turning pro within welterweight (I think) so i'll be posting back about that once I go to the gym my g/f dad found for me.

Other info I joined the dark side on wwiiol and now fight within the 3pgd Panzergrenadiers XD
